My experience with hands-on healing began at a very young age. As a child I simply imitated my aunt’s and mother’s healing techniques, and my skill became readily accepted. There was nothing special about it: my sisters had an affinity for music, my brothers could ride horseback, and I could facilitate healing. I recall working with animals — a dog with a kidney stone, and a cow with a brain tumor — on the family farm. As a teenager, I began to work on family members. My sister had an eye infection that I was able to heal, and I was influential in keeping my dad’s angina in remission for many years. I believe  my families’ healing practices to be rooted in the Western European tradition of  Shamanic Healing.

 

The business of everyday life took over and my healing activities receded to the background during much of my adult life. My children recall that my hands would heal their childhood illnesses, and one of my sons now uses hands-on techniques to ease some of his children’s ailments.

 

I was introduced to Reiki in the late 1980’s. Training under two different Reiki Masters, I attained the third level of aptitude in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition. In addition, I have been a member of the Distant Healing Network, responding to healing requests since 2001.

 

When introduced to Quantum-Touch^®, a familiar note had been struck. I now actively blend my knowledge and experience of Reiki, Quantum-Touch^®, Shamanic Healing and the Emotional Freedom Technique to enhance energy flow.
